Listen, I am sorry to file this in the "now ya tell me" pile, but I just found out about these myself. I know you all at NYFW would have made great use of these in the rain, but maybe those of you headed to Paris and Milan can grab them in time.
What am I talking about? SoleMates High Heelers! Take a look at those pretty shoes up at the top of this post. See the discreet clear shield on the heel? Those are High Heelers in action.
What they are: reusable, easy-on and easy-off "gloves" for the bottom of your heels (fits most).
What they do: protect the shoe from wear-and-tear AND give a bit more surface area.
Uses:
- Protect your shoes from the elements
- Reduce wear-and-tear on pricey shoes
- Fewer checks made out to your cobbler
- Stop sinking into grassy surfaces
- Walk with confidence on grated surfaces, cobblestones, rocks, decking, etc...
Keep in your purse to slip on the next time you:
- Walk down the sidewalks for any distance (I'm talking to you, commuters!)
- Go to a polo match
- Attend an outdoor wedding (slip them off and into your bag before the indoor reception)
- Spot rainclouds
- Join the infielders at The Derby (you won't spill your Mint Julep)
- Segue from brunch to croquet
- Skip out of a cocktail party for a quick run through the back 9 (no need to change into tacky golf shoes)
- Go to Fashion Week - on in the tents, but off before the paparazzi snaps ya!
- Get behind the wheel (prevent that rubbing on the back of your heel)
- Have a fancy dinner at that restaurant with the deck
If you wear heels at all, these are a must-have! Only $9.95 and they come in black and clear.
