PLEASE NOTE: This picture was just for this purpose: swatching. The application is not ideal, and I didn't use lipliner (if I had, I'd have chosen Buerre for those who are keeping track)!

MAC is releasing the Viva Glam VI Limited Edition version early - it's on counters today! The shade is pinky and mauvey and I need several! Remember: 100% of any and all Viva Glam products go directly to the MAC AIDS Fund to help folks impacted by HIV/AIDS.
According to Specktra, since the release date was moved up, not all counters have the product in so check with your MAC team to see if they have it yet...

Why didn't I think of this!?
CARGO has introduced a novel concept - perfect for makeup lovers or just about anyone. For $7.50, get a box of 5 gift tags with a little blister pack of lipgloss! The gloss, called Machu Picchu, is described as "sheer, shimmering berry"
I don't know what's better- a gift tag that let's you touch-up your lips, or the fact that 100% of the proceeds goes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
These are worth writing about again, since I didn't realize there were gift tags and cards! So...
Make sure you check out CARGO's innovative gift tags and cards! The card passes on holidays wishes that make BeautyBlitz happy: "Wishing you Health, Happiness & Glossperity". CUTE! The tag gets right to the point, giving you a "To" and a "From" field while reminding you to "Sparkle"- what more do you need?
So, we've all seen tags and witty cards... what's the big deal?
These tags each have a single-serving size dose of lipgloss (on the card, it's placed cleverly on the top of the stack of packages being carried by the heroine). The gloss, in fact, is Machu Picchu, a “sheer, shimmering berry" which is right on trend for this winter. And even better than that, if you can believe there's something even better: 100% of the proceeds for these products goes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. YOU NEED THESE!
A boxed set of 5 of these cards is $10, a set of 5 tags is $7.50. Pick yours up at CARGO online, at Sephora or at Macy's.
Apparently I'm getting my philosophy on today, but there's just so much to see I'm beside myself!

Yay.
I say that with a bit of sarcasm, because I'm not really a fan. I'm trying to look on the bright side while keeping an eye on the bigger picture. Having Fergie as the newest face of Viva Glam may draw in a whole new group of folks - and the more folks that buy the Viva Glam lipsticks and glosses, the more money that is raised and the more help that is channeled to help folks affected and infected with HIV and AIDS.

Get your karma straight by buying some of these philosophy products, designed to inspire and to please the senses while also saving the world, one cause (and bath) at a time!
Another thing the MAC AIDS Fund does is the Kids Helping Kids greeting cards they sell each year. These cards are created by children whose lives are impacted by HIV and AIDS (either directly or via family members with the disease). MAC literally goes to the children with art supplies like paper, pens, glitter and paints and asks them to create cards. With the permission of the children (and their parents), MAC selects 6 cards to sell for the Fund.
You can buy the Kids Helping Kids giftcards at any MAC counter or MAC store after October 25th for only $6 (for 6 cards). What a steal!
Also available are 6 gift tags for $6 and new this year three different patterns of giftwrap for $8 a roll. The wrapping paper comes in a red, a white and a black pattern which are only available at MAC Stores.
Learn more about the MAC AIDS Fund here.
The palettes will be red (of course) and have the Royal Assets crest on top. Each palette has two lipsticks and one lipglass. As always, 100% of the proceeds go to the MAC AIDS Fund for folks affected and infected with HIV/AIDS. YEE HAW!
