I think it's time to go on another field trip! Let's see what's new and improved at Sephora, shall we? I'm inspired by the new catalog I just got. Here are some of the images from said catalog, and online. LOVE 'EM!
- I've already covered the new Sephora for OPI collection, and raved. Here's the original post. I'm going to Sephora this week - I can't wait to grab some of these!
- Make Up For Ever has put its amazing High Definition Powder in a kit with a sexy little brush. The 100% mineral silica powder is so fine it softens imperfections amazingly well - and you're ready for prime time on a hi def TV! And look at that kabuki brush... *swoon*
- Have you tried GO SMiLE? I happen to love the stuff, though I can't use it right now what with the pregnancy. But this cute kit gives you a more cost-effective way to see the stain-fighting power of the GO SMiLE technology, and experience a few things from the line! I love this stuff!
This set contains: 6 x patented ampules (three-day supply); 7 x Touch Ups; AM Toothpaste; PM Toothpaste; Mirrored compact; Travel toothbrush; and a Travel tote.
- Stila Pomegranate Crush Lip & Cheek Stain is some good stuff, too! I already have some, but it's worth checking out if you don't! This stain is a fabulous color that gives a unique flush to each person (gimmicky, yes, but it works!). I love the just-in-from-the-cold blush it gives me, and the stuff lasts! I hate when you get a great blush and then it's gone a little while later, don't you? Use this on the lips, too, alone or under another product (where it doesn't last as long, but still looks great!). Apparently it smells and tastes like pomegranate - a fact that escaped me until I saw it on the website. *shrug* It's still awesome stuff.
- I need a new lash primer, and I'm always up for trying a new mascara. (I'm patiently waiting for Maybelline Lash Stiletto to show up in the mail, but there's room in my life for more than one new mascara!) I love MAC's Prep + Prime Lash, but maybe I'll try this new Special Effects Mascara from LORAC, a brand I really like! Special Effects Mascara is a two-sided product with primer on one side, Defining and Lengthening Mascara on the other. The primer has natural oils, DL-Panthenol and plant extracts that strengthen and soften the lashes, while the mascara stretches and holds the lash shape, with no clumps or flakes. Mother-of-pearl in both products helps the lashes stay shiny. Plus, look at those brush tips! Yup--- gonna give it a whirl!
- I love the look of Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil, but as I've mentioned before I hate the Bismuth Oxychloride in it - it makes me itch and break-out. But I wonder about Laura Mercier's Mineral Illuminating Powder? Sadly, a quick trip to the Laura Mercier site to check the ingredients (shame on you Sephora for not showing them!) tells me that this product too foolishly contains the irritating salt. Pooh! Well, the rest of you may like this. It's got a pearl powder and "rich gemstone complex" and weightlessly captures and reflects light on eyes, cheeks, or face. Two shades: Candlelight and Starlight.
- If you've been hesitating on the Clarisonic Skincare Brush, it's now a good time to check it out. I've written about my experiences with this brush before (read about it all right here), but now they've made it even better! With the addition of a third speed, and the Spot Therapy Brush Head (and a mere $30 to the total cost!), we now can cleanse our face and smooth rough spots on the body. Cleanse, and exfoliate the decollete, hands, arms, elbows and feet. You also get the new Refining Skin Polish for the body which helps exfoliate, firm and smooth the skin.
- I will definitely be checking out the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin, a new release from the brand. Primer Potion has reached Cult Classic Status as a fab primer that keeps your shadow in place without a crease or smudge. Now it comes in a delectable shimmery champagne color (as opposed to the original nearly-clear), so it can work alone or as a base. I've got to check out the shade. Too bad UD hasn't taken a look at the myriad complaints about the design of the bottle!
