I was thinking about fashion trends: easy to do because Fall is officially here. I love so many of the trends in both clothing and makeup (always the makeup!) this Autumn. But I know quite a few of them don't work so well with my lifestyle, even the ones billed as "wearable". Guess those who get to rank things as doable don't live my life of non-stop partying and social excursions diaper changes and library storytime.
Playgroup mommies are understanding when it comes to berry lips and trendy tops, but not so much with the over-the-knee boots and black lipstick. So, unfortunately, many of the trends I think look so amazing... well, let's just say I'll have to settle for appreciating them in magazines and online (kind of like art in a museum!). Though I admit: every season some makeup trends get snapped up and tossed into my kit no matter how realistic they are, probably because they're more affordable and easier to rationalize than expensive shoes, handbags, and clothes. (Plus, as a makeup artist, I can always tell myself these items are "for my kit".)
Do you take part in the edgier trends or do you, like me, find yourself simply coveting them from afar?
