I dropped the ball on my Tuesday Tip yesterday. Shame on me! We shall do it today, ok?
---------------------------------
Let's talk about skincare today. Not in-depth - we'll do a lesson later about that. But today, let's just talk about a few little things, mkay?
When to apply/use certain products:
This get a little hairy, and I'd bet it's one of the most commonly asked questions about skincare (besides "what one product will solve my millions of issues and make me look like Angelina Jolie?").
- Exfoliate by the means of your choice two or three times a week - no more.
- Wash skin, and pat it dry.
- Serums are meant to go on the skin 1st.
- Put on eye cream/treatment next, after the serums have soaked in.
- Then put on your moisturizer.
- Then put on your SPF!!! It can coat the skin (depending on the brand) so always put this on as the last part of your skincare system.
- Let all of that set before applying primer followed by skin makeup.
- At night: cleanse thoroughly, then serums go on, followed by eye cream/treatment then your moisturizer or night cream.
Bonus Tip: Apply eye cream across the face like a bandit's mask - get the "laugh lines", the undereye, the lids, the nose-crinkles and all.
Another Bonus Tip: Toss your eye cream or serum in the fridge and apply it chilled to tamp down puffiness!
