I was looking around to figure out if I had any products that I could use in my transition from Summer makeup to Fall makeup. I mean, something new. lol
Luckily, my gaze landed on the package I got from the other day from Three Custom Color Specialists. I already showed you The Best Brown Eye Shadow Ever that I got (and keep wearing to the exclusion of all other shadows). Well, right next to it was another little compact with that signature swooping "3".
Promising, isn't it? But does it have the answer to my Fall conundrum? Does it house something spectacular? Something warm but wearable on my cool skin? Something soft but colorful? Something that wouldn't add insult to injury when it comes to my already drying-in-the-air skin?
Keep reading and I'll let you know.
Look at that. It's described by Three Custom as a "earthy rose shade".
Let me show you the swatches... (The top stripe is actually my MAC Lure lip pencil. The next swatch was applied with a lip brush, the bottom was buffed out with my MAC 188 brush.)
Pretty, right? But would it cut the mustard as a cheek color? How about on lips? Is it just a tempting devil or could we have found a sweet saint?
My thoughts:
- It's nice and soft and blendable.
- It's the perfect color - just a bit of warmth, but still rosy enough to wear without it turning orange on me.
- It's pretty long-lasting, though my skin sucks up cream products like this so thank goodness it's portable!
- On my lips, it's not "my lips but better" as described by Three Custom, because it is a bit warmer than my own lip, but it's a nice shade anyway.
- I bet it would look good on almost everyone.
- I already love the packaging: sleek gunmetal, thin and compact, a mirror inside.
- Perfect for pairing with golds, bronzes, beiges, greens, olives, and even some blues. Oh, and of course taupe (my favorite!).
- Easy to apply with fingers or brushes.
- I wonder how it would look on my eyelids?
It's $22.50 from Three Custom Color Specialists and I highly recommend it!
So what do you think?
Is this a color you could pull off?
Not up your alley?
Do you like "stain"-style products?
Do you think I should grow my hair out?
