That jewelry is GORGEOUS, no?
Van Cleef & Arpels --- what a dream.
In fact, the collection is called Midsummer Night's Dream!
Even better: there's a fragrance to go with it!
Féerie Ondine
Here's the scoop:
This is the second Féerie fragrance. The first was inspired by Tatiana, whose sophisticated scent reflected her mischievous personality. Féerie Ondine is inspired by Ondine, "the delicate fairy," and so her scent is fresh and graceful. It falls in the "green floral" area of the fragrance spectrum.
Enter my trepidation: I am not a fan of green scents. *gulp*
The scent breaks down thusly: Top Notes are "crispy green Violet leaves interlaced with sparkling Italian Lemon and juicy wild Raspberry"; Middle Notes are Parma Violets, Rose Absolute, and "dewy Jasmine"; Base Notes are Musk, Benzoin, and Sandalwood.
Second moment of hesitation: Jasmine can be overdone easily, and I easily am overwhelmed by it.
The gorgeous container is Ondine perched on a moon flower, looking over the waters of the stunning faceted aquamarine-like bottle.
You can pick up this sexy Eau de Toilette at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, or Van Cleef & Arpels boutiques now | $120 for 100ml, $85 for 50ml

My thoughts:
OK, I was really worried about this one. I suspected this was one of those cases where I'd spray it on, dislike it, and try to find something (anything!?) positive to say. However, I worried for nothing, because this scent is so pretty!
The violet leaves and lemon start off the show crisply. There may be more bite than you like, but wait 'til dry-down and you get the payoff! The floral heart is vibrant but delicate, if that's possible, and I adore the lingering powdery benzoin & sandalwood scent that remains behind.
When you're in the mood for a feminine scent with glorious breezy florals and a politely sensual base, this is the scent to grab!
A+
